About The Owner
Harding Ison-Bowman has over 20 years’ experience designing, installing, and maintaining landscapes for Kentuckians. He focuses on building full, healthy, and solid landscapes that are a joy to spend time in, featuring hardy, low maintenance plants. Minimal use of chemicals and other nature friendly practices are used, as Harding is an environmentalist at heart.
Harding received his most valuable training working for his mentor, horticulturalist Joe Calhoun of Lexington, where he learned attention to detail, and integrity, and a passion for the fun and adventure of landscaping. As Joe would say, each unique landscaping project is “an eco-challenge!”
Harding moved to Lexington in 2002 from Oldham County, attended the University of Kentucky, and formerly taught at-risk youth in a public alternative school for 10 years. He and his wife, Mattie, have three small children, Lydia, Elizabeth, and William. The family enjoys playing in the sprinkler and singing!
